Kika spent hours translating both of our slides so professionally into Spanish – and then did consecutive translation for every talk we gave as well as coordinating all the various conferences. Thank you KIKA!!

Nils and Kika went to Albacete (southeast of Madrid) to a hospital to speak to staff, and then a conference arranged by breastfeeding suppporters. This group sponsored Nils to come, as the hospital could not afford to do so!!

Terra Mater is an organisation guided by Isabel F. del Castillo  and Ibone Fernandez Olza, and they hosted a whole day seminar with Ibone and Nils sharing the podium (and as ever, Kika!). This was also broadcast on line, as far as South America.

Then Nils had to fly to Sweden for a research meeting with the Gates Foundation for two days.

Jill did a practical neuroscience day with some of the Doulas in Spain     organised by Montse Cobb with her team.  Much laughter with a fun and motivated group of people doing the vital job of emotionally and practically supporting parents through their labour. As always, I was encouraging them to specifically support the developmental needs of the BABY at birth. Nils gave them the neuroscience and evidence-based medicine background the following day. Kika said that we had spoken to over 800 different people in Spain!
